Process

Thank you for your interest in TRIALS! We welcome applications from college students and graduates across the nation.

Our application invites you to present your academic record in the context of your personal circumstances. You’ll have the chance to share information about your transcript, extracurricular and work activities, family background, and the experiences that have shaped your interest in a legal education.

The first step of our application process is to create an account. Once you create an account, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your login information to begin your application. This will become available once the application cycle opens.

As part of the application, you will submit a two-page personal statement. This is your opportunity to share information not captured elsewhere—such as why you’re interested in law school, an explanation of an academic inconsistency, or your professional goals. Whatever you choose to write, we hope your statement will give us a fuller understanding of who you are and why you wish to attend TRIALS.

After applications are reviewed, we will contact the candidates who will be interviewed. If selected, final-round applicants will be asked to provide official transcripts and two letters of recommendation. Please have those documents prepared in the event that you are selected to interview. The final round includes multiple interviews.

The 2026 TRIALS application will be available from October 15, 2025, to January 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST!
