Kristen Corpion graduated from Berkeley Law School and kickstarted her career at the elite international law firm Greenberg Traurig, representing large companies like Walmart and HBO. Kristen has since launched her own law firm, CORPlaw, to help small business owners, creatives, and non-profits grow and protect their assets with a special emphasis on women and minority-owned businesses.
Kristen has practiced law full-time for over a decade and is passionate about transforming the legal profession, the perception the community has of lawyers, and using the law as a tool to help her local community grow.
She has earned such distinctions as being named one of South Florida’s Outstanding 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rookie of the Year by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Rising Star distinction, a recognition given to less than 3% of lawyers, by Florida Super Lawyers, and others.
A community leader, Kristen is a past president of the Dade County Bar Young Lawyers Section, the largest voluntary association of lawyers in South Florida. She serves as a board member of Aire Ventures, a non-profit venture studio that scales innovative, technology and ecosystem solutions to systemic gaps in access, opportunity, and racial equity. She is also a board member of Legal Services of Greater Miami, which provides free civil legal services for the low-income communities of Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
Kristen has dedicated her time to mentoring students and teaching law and business at the undergraduate and graduate levels as a professor at Florida International University. She also teaches adult education and has dedicated thousands of hours to educating small business owners and entrepreneurs pro bono at local community-based workshops and accelerators.
Last year, CORPlaw was recognized as one of the top 10 fastest-growing law firms in the country, boasting such notable clients as the Dan Marino Foundation.
